RAVE 5K Walk/Run for the Avenue

The Friends of New Bern Avenue and surrounding communities invite you to participate in a 5K Walk/Run for the Avenue event. Located off of New Bern Avenue, Raleigh Beach Road to the Neuse River Greenway and loop back.

Featuring a competitive 5K race that accommodates both runners and walkers, this event is designed to get our entire communities along the Avenue involved. Please support our communities with keeping it green, clean and safe. All proceeds go toward improving the conditions along New Bern Avenue with maintenance and greenery.

RUN WITH SENATOR DAN BLUE ON NOVEMBER 8, 2014. SENATOR BLUE IS AN AVID ADVOCATE FOR GOOD HEALTH AND FOR THIS EVENT, HE CHALLENGES RESIDENTS OR ANYONE TO OUT-RUN HIM. PLEASE JOIN SENATOR BLUE FOR A GREAT LIFETIME EVENT AND GOOD CAUSE.

5K/Walk/Run starts at 9:00

All registered participants receive a FREE RAVE T- shirt! All participants who cross the finish line receive a medal and certificate. In conjunction with the race, RAVE will host a Fun Fest from 8:30 am to noon. Same day registration is CANCELLED. Racers, their families and friends, and all members of the Avenue communities will enjoy a variety of activities including:

•Food, Fall Holiday farm products

•Music, Paint Face and Photography Services,
